Broken Prop, Need Help Determining Which One is Best

I own a 2003 Honda 200HP 4 stroke and recently broke one of the blades on the prop. My current (broken) prop is 14 1/4" x 19 pitch. I need to replace it obviously; however, I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to this. A few questions:

1) Would a recommended prop for my motor from Iboats or boats.net fit the current hub I have? or would I need a hub kit for each prop I purchase.

2) Would anyone reccomend a higher or lower pitch prop for the power I am running?

3)Am I able to put a prop on that is say 14 1/2" x 19 pitch or does it have to be 14 1/4"?

All questions I ask are to ensure I purchase the right prop.

Any and all advise is welcome.

Thanks!

Was the prop that broke performing well for you? if so, there is no reason to change it.. as to the dia.. if you have room between the prop and the anode fin, a wider dia prop will give you a bit more bite..

Yes, I was fine with the performance but my concern lies with not knowing whether or not a new prop rated for my engine will fit my existing hub. Ive found a few props on various websites that are designed for my year make and model, but unsure whether or not a new hub is needed, or I will be fine with the existing stock hub. Any ideas?

Some props come with a hub pressed in.Others have a removable hub.
If yours is a removable hub you will have to stay with the same brand.
Do you know your present wide open throttle rpm and gps speed?

WOT is approx 5500 and GPS speed is 49mph. I have a 19' Lund Pro V. My hub is removable.

Your slip calculates at about 8%. While an excellent number it is a little suspect that the tach may be off a little low..
Slip is typically in the low double digits. Probably not an issue.
If your happy with your performance.Stick with the same prop.

I've tried looking for it but have been unable to find the same identical prop. This is why i am looking at alternatives. The prop is orginal to the boat (2003) so I may not be able to come across the same one. So considering that what are your reccomendations in purchasing a new prop? Again, my concern is purchasing the wrong item, or getting a hub kit when I dont really need a new one. This is a new game for me so Im just looking for some guidance on what will fit and what wont.

So you don't know the brand or model? You could post us a picture of the hub someone may be able to identify it.
You may have to use a picture hosting site
Look carefully for numbers or letters other than the size.
Diameter usually just follows the prop design. Usually as pitch goes up diameter goes down.
Your motor can clear a 16" diameter.A 19" pitch prop up to 1/4' bigger or smaller diameter than yours should be fine.
Within reason a 19" pitch should act like a 19" pitch.
If you are starting from scratch the Solas entry level props have a good reputation. the Amita has a pressed in hub, the Rubex has a removable hub.
You would need the install kit for reach. The Rubex is the same prop as the Amita but for the removable hub.
A 3 blade prop usually gives good overall performance and the best top speed, a 4 blade usually give a stronger hole shot, will usually grip better,
should stay on plane better at reduced throttle and may respond better around the dock. But may be a little slower.
Usually it is suggested to reduce pitch 1 inch when going to a 4 blade to maintain rpm.
You may notice I use a lot of words like usually, should, may or could thats because prop selection isn't carved in stone.

What is the part number on your "original" prop ? Aluminum or SS ? 3 blade or 4 ?

And, what is the actual model number of your motor ?
