Broken Lower unit fin

Motor fell, hit the ground, and broke the fin off the bottom of the lower unit. Fixable? important? Please help.

The "fin" is called a skag. Totally repairable. Find a propellor shop that rebuilds props and they probably also do skags

lost the "skag" on a smaller scott attwater i have.stupid me let it fall of the tail gate of truck.a local welding shop put it back on for a reasonable cost.little paint and looks good runs as straight as it did before.

What if I don't have the skeg, it fell somewhere along the highway. Can they make a replacement? Is this a pricey repair? Thanks for all your replies as I am very new to owning a boat.

What year and HP is the motor?

A good prop shop can make one out of stock and weld it on, it there is something left to weld it to.
