Broken drive shafts

I have 2, 2014, 90hp, 4 stroke Yamaha outboards in my center console boat. Both drive shafts broke within 48 hrs. What could be the reason? Never hit anything underwater. They both snapped at idling speed.

Are you talking drive shafts or prop shafts?....either way, for them to both break is mighty strange....in fact, for one of them to break is very unusual. I'd be calling Yamaha technical service for their thoughts and ideas..
