I am breaking in my 1994 200 hp Evinrude after rebuilding it. All is going well. During the first 10 hours I am using 25:1 fuel/oil ratio. After the initial 10 hrs break in period should I just go straight to 50:1 or should I ween it slowly off the 25:1 over several tanks of gas. Any info will be appreciated.

Re: Break- In Ratio

If all is well, go straight to 50:1.

Actually, 50:1 is pretty rich as far as the engine is concerned. 50:1 leaves a lot of "wiggle room" on your mixture.

Don't deviate but don't sweat it either.
