break in on new rig.

just got off the lake. put 5 hron my new 30 hp tohatsu. 27.8 mph w 2 guys and way too much gear. love the elec start and ptt did try the pull start to see how hard, started on 2nd pull. had some trolling motor issues that need to be resolved, one being an old batttery. boat is heavy! i hit a wegh station on the way and the boat came in at 1280#s with trailer. i would guess boat and motor weigh 800. will probably have to change out the prop to get my rpms up.i was at the bottom end of the wot at 5300- 5400. caught 2 bass and 1 catfish.good day.

What's max rpm achieved with you alone and empty boat ? Check. Any water splashes or prop cavitation at back transom at wot ?

wot with one guy hit 5450 rpm. 28.2 mph.hole #2 away from transom. will try #3 tomorrow. jave 7.5 hrs on motor. will finish breakin this week maybe tomorrow. caught 3 bass and lost another 2. pretty good day for not fishing heavy.
