I have a question about lubricating a Bravo3, by the way the boat is a 2013 so everything is new. There are no grease fittings on the outdrive at all. Nothing. When I look at the back of the motor I can see a shaft coming out of it with two grease fittings on it. but those are the only grease fittings I can find.

How do I grease the gimble and u-joints or are they just sealed units?

Also anyone know what those two grease fittings on the shaft that come out of the motor goes to? Also do those fittings need to be removed first before I pull the drive?

Have you looked at your owners manual? All that kind of stuff is in the engine owners manual.

There are no zirks on the ujoints and gimbal bearing, nor the rest of the drive anymore.

If you are talking about the shaft that goes to the drive from the back of the engine, it the coupler. It's in the owners manual.

So if there are no Zerks on the ujoints or gimble are they just sealed units? No maintance required just replace when they start going?

That is why some folks like to buy older boats . . . Because we get grease fittings :thumb:

What's the word for the new bearings . . . . Perma-lube :noidea:

I assume those two fittings go to the coupler where the shaft from the outdrive goes in and out from trim?

You might want to consider getting the paperwork off your boat now during the off season and do some reading. It will answer many of your questions, and there are a lot of people on these forums answering your questions and have no clue what your engine is like, or your raw water pump, or your cat exhaust system, So keep that in mind.

Here is a picture out of a 2010 owners manual, will give you an idea what is in it.

I don't want to live in a world where I can't trust everything I hear on the internet.
