i try searching but comes up empty, am putting back a bravo tow outdrive together but am having trouble understanding which way to turn the detent ball spring. right now it is in four pieces , two springs a ball and the canister,

do i drop the ball down the open of the canister then drop the larger spring on top then the small spring grease it up good , then stick the open end of the canister in the back plate with the ball now peekin out the taperd end , man am confuse, i was told that if the ball is not attatch to the spring/canister is no good i need a new kit. thanks for any input. god bless

There are four seals and even though your not going to use the speed0 pick up I would put the O-ring in place. The lube seal is a Quad ring, its flat on top/bottom
