Bravo Transom Plate Removal

Hey ya'll it's been a while since I've been around, but I'm back in the boating game. Quick question, is it possible to remove a bravo outer transom gimbal housing assembly without pulling the motor? All docs say the motor has to be pulled, but it almost looks like there are only 4 nuts that have to be removed from the inside.

Yes the engine would need to be removed because the rear of the engine is supported by the inner transom "plate". Also there are 8 studs that hold the transom assembly to the boat hull. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=mercruiser+bravo+transom+assembly&FORM=HDRSC2
