Went to replace the shift linkage in the out drive. The actual linkage that connects to the rod which turns the shift cam. The shift linkage would not pull through the tunnel, for a lack of better words, that it is housed in. I ended up removing the cotter pin at the joint and removing it in two pieces. I'm not real familiar with bravo outdrives but have seen tear down videos where it is removed in one piece. When I inspected the tunnel itself it appeared to have scoring and wear in there. Is this normal? The shift fork/cam looks brand new. Not a mark on it. The outdrives is clocking 425 hours.
