Bravo one U joint assembly question

I accidently bent the ear on the smaller yoke in the u joint assembly of my Bravo one outdrive so I had to take the big nut off with a special tool that I ordered and was able to get the whole u joint assebly off. I'm putting a new yoke in there because the ear of the small yoke I bent accidently. My question is when taking the nut off the back out ( i believe it is the one that holds the pinion I have a pictured attached) and putting my new ear on and putting the new u joints on and the rest of the u joint assembly is there anything I need to check on the timing of the outdrive? or does the outdrive not get out of timing with the u joint assebly out unless you move it? I'm just trying to cover everything before I install the new ear and the rest of the assembly. The second picture is the ear that I need to replace

Re: Bravo one U joint assembly question

Your best bet would be to go to the link below and download factory manual #28 if your Bravo is a 1999 or newer. If it's 1998 or earlier you'll want #11.

It'll tell you everything you need to know. Much better than taking some yahoo's advice over the internet!

It would also be nice if you resized your pictures so we don't have to scroll around the screen to read your post.
