Bravo mpi to alpha, shift interupt?

I'm looking to put a 350mpi gen+ in front of a alpha drive. It originally was powering a bravo. How can I hook up the shift interupt to the mpi to be able to shift the bravo? I am thinking possibly tapping into the coil power to intermittently stall the engine. I realize this will be at the top hp for what an alpha can handle but would like to give it a shot if I can figure out the shift Interrupt.
