Bravo III U-Joint bellowa retaining ring. Any tricks?

On the tail end of fixing a trashed steering pin seal and have it back together as far as the gimble ring is installed, all the bellows are glued in place and I am attempting to insert the retaining ring in the U-Joint bellows and it's not really cooperating. Is there a trick I should know about?

Ayuh,.... A can of Merc/ Quicksilver, Power Tune,....

Ya spray the area the ring goes, push it in with yer fingers, 'n wait maybe 10 seconds,...
The Power Tune goes away, 'n the bellows is Locked on,...
