Bravo 3X Diesel on Mag 496

Hi, I'm new to the forum and got a strange question.

Is it possible to use a 2007 Bravo 3X Diesel sterndrive on a 2004 Mag 496 gasoline engine?
The gear ratio match (1.81) but I'm wondering if this is something that doable or a big no-no.

Are there any technical limitations that make the 2 incompatible?

No issue so long as you can find a prop pitch to match your boat
