The water inlet hose that goes thru the transom is recessed so i cant tell. How do you remove it? Just twist off or you have to take nipple off from inside?

Well had to pull a bunch of **** to get shift cable in so i will replace water stuff with this kit. I am having a hard time finding the part number for the hose that goes from elbow inside transim down to the flush pro. Idk what year model since cannot find serial numbers. Boat is a 2000 sea ray amberjack 290

It can be one of 2 types and depends on what your serial number is. The original type was a barbed fitting and newer style used a snap lock fitting. Merc part number 32-8M0062666 and the hose is standard hard wall hose 1.25 ID. Look for shields 16-250-1140-12 as the part number and is sold by the foot

Barbed fitting 22-8M0081543

Quick connect 865470

If the quick connect is used, you will also need the connector for it. In link below it shows parts for newer system. Also has a flush parts.

From other pics from other sellers it does look like the QD. The link you posted is from closed cooling and looks very different, still do not see the hose or fitting i need. Ahhhh so the hose is just bulk and not formed? If i use the QD how does that work, adapter goes into the hose and then snaps in?

The part is not a kit, its just a 8 foot piece of hose. You probably only need about 4 to 5 feet. The standard length is 8 because its used for inboard and outdrive models

What is your engine serial number?

The drive number would be stamped or imprinted on the side of the drive

So far as the hose and fittings are part of the motor, the fitting on the transom assembly can be referenced from the motor or drive.

In the pics above, which fitting was installed on the transom assembly?

You sure the line going from raw water pump to transom nipple is 1.25? I ordered 1.25 hose and flush pro and the line fits snug on flush pro but the hose is loose on the transom nipple. Not sure loose but it should be tighter

Yes, that is the correct size, when new its not that tight, after being on for a while with double clamps it is hard to get off

This is a shields piece of hose which I used on my boat
