Brother in law has a '97 Doral with 305 Mercruiser, Bravo 3. Went over to help winterize, but found sea water pump seized. After removing, and disassembly, it's obvious that his 'new to him' boat didn't get the necessary maintenance over it's lifetime. So, rebuilding normally wouldn't be big deal, but bearings sound awful, and obviously need replacement also.
Manual shows proper repair, but don't have necessary tools to removed pulley(also chipped) and bearings.
Is it possible to bring this pump into repair shop to have rebuilt? Anyone know approx cost for rebuild kit, bearings, and pulley?
Anyone know where to get a fairly priced replacement?
Thanks

Yes you could have a shop rebuild it but your prob better off just replacing it. By the time you factor in hourly labor rate and parts it's gonna be a wash. 'nutcase
