Bravo 3 prop shaft seals

I am replacing seals on my bravo 3 prop shafts.I noticed 2 seals came out of each shaft housing.The new replacement seals are now one seal instead of two separate seals.My question is which way do I put the seal in.Looks like there is a white teflon ring on one side.Does anyone know which way the new seals go in.Having a hards time tying to find this imformation
