Hello All,

This past spring I had a new transom assembly installed on my 2001 Bravo 3 drive. Since the transom assembly was manufactured in 2010, does anyone know what the recommended torque is for the U-Bolt on the gimbal ring? A friend said he thought the new Bravo Three drives had a spec of 70 ftlbs? My 2001 had specified 53 ftlbs? I can't find a manual anywhere for a 2010 Bravo Three drive. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you identify whether you have a 7/16" or 3/8" U-bolt! If you try to torque a 3/8" bolt to 70 ft-lbs, you may break it off! (SS bolts are not very forgiving of being over-torqued)

Just saying!
