bravo 2 water pump

How nessasary is replacing the plastic housing on the raw water pump, on a routine 2 year change out.

Bravo 2's do not have water pumps in them, only the Alpha's
I would stick with the 2 year change.

Talking about the raw water pump on my engine. Complete kit or will just the impeller and wear plate be good enough?

You'll know when you get it apart. If the plastic housing is scored inside, it's probably ready for replacement.

Impeller and wear plates should be enough. And you know you can turn the wear plate over once right? So you might just need an impeller!

If your housing looks like this, you might consider changing it.

But please note, this pump was working fine when it was taken apart, no overheating at all. Just maintenance. Bravo pumps can last a long time if you boat in clean fresh water.
