I have a 2008 Bravo ii with 350 Mag. I am taking on about 1 cup of water a week via fitting at rear of engine where hose connects to transom/outdrive. Very slow leak and some corrosion around internal drive nut assembly. Can anyone please diagnose or advise action needed? Photos via above link. seems to leak (empty out) then stop until engine used again, possible needs pressure build up again

Thanks in advance

You are going to need to pull that plug out and re-seal it.... Clean all the threads up and put some new sealer on it before you put the plug back in.

Thanks for the advice. Will the boat need to be in dry dock before I pull the plug or can I do it while it is in the water. Not sure if this will all for water intrusion from outside?

You most likely have some water leaking in when you remove the plug while in the boat is in water. Just have something handy to shove in the hole till you get ready to clean the hole and reinstall the plug. It won't be enough to sink the boat in a hurry if that's what your worried about.

Good luck.:)
