I just did a full repower(motor, transomassembly, outdrive steering assembly, trim pump).I ran the tilt/trim up/down at least a half dozen times thinking it might be air in the system but,it still has a squealing, screeching sound to it.Anyone have an idea why it would be doing this? It's BRAND NEW from Mercury.2007 Merc 5.7,Alpha 1 gen 2.

usually air is the first suspect,is everything greased up good?Does it lift at lower at the right speed or is it slower than normal?

I think it's moving at the normal speed. All is lubed good and it's all new.Of course I've only run it up and down 6-8 times so maybe it just needs to be run through the full range several more times.?The transom assembly came with the cylinders on and the lines plugged together to retain the fluid and the pump was full. After running it up/down several times, the reservoir is still at proper level.Any way to bleed? Thanks,Jerry
