I rewired my trailer and now nothing works. I went over the rewire a couple times and everything is correct. I then replaced my vehicle plug...still nothing.

I have a 2001 toyota sequoia, what's next for me to check?

Are there fuses specific to towing that I'm not finding?

If all of the lights are out - and you're sure the vehicle end is OK like Gary H says, the next place to look is the ground on the trailer. Don't assume that the coupler makes a good ground. Run a wire.

Get yourself a small, battery powered voltage meter...they are the best thing for troubleshooting this sort of problem. If you are getting proper voltage to each of the lights...it is likely not grounded correctly.

Two questions come to mind. 1) Did this trailer work before you rewired? If so, you obviously did something wrong. But lets let that rest for now. 2) Does your Toyota have amber turn signals in the rear or does it have separate brake and turn signal bulbs. If either of those is yes -- you need a converter. You can't make a single, dual filament trailer bulb work on a tow vehicle that has separate turn and brake circuits. Then as was suggested, make sure the connector on the truck has power on the proper pins. No juice, no trailer lights. Going back to the rewire, I also suspect since nothing works that you have a ground problem -- but that also assumes the truck is functioning properly.

It is getting inspected tomorrow when I drop it off so I'll find out if it is the truck or the trailer, it could only be the ground which I tried a few places but it could still be that.

Thanks guys!

Put a battery jumper cable between the chassis of the tow vehicle and the trailer and see if that fixes your problem.

well the trailer needs stop light work per the inspection so I can fix that in the mean time. Guess I cut the line installing it. I have NO turn signals on the trailer or on the tester.

I checked all the fuses I could find and need to get after the tow relay, does anyone know anything about this? I'm an idiot and could use some help.
