I would think this would be a no-brainer, but I have to ask some of you trailer-brake gurus...
My actuator is a Titan Model 60. I'm losing brake fluid from the cap. The cap has the original small O-ring near the bottom of the cap's threads. I also installed an additional O-ring around the base of the caps' 'flange' to give a solid seal.
The leak is definitely coming from the cap and nowhere else. The oil is up high, so that's the only place it could be leaking.
My guess is, the leak must be coming from the small 'weep' hole that's in the cap. And this is no small amount of oil... it has ran dry at least twice.
I also noticed the diaphragm won't stay in place up inside the cap. I think this is the ultimate culprit, but how to fix?
What would happen if I plug the weep-hole in the cap?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
H.
