Boyesen Reeds--How to install?

It has been suggested that I install Boysen Stage II reeds on my '79 Evinrude V-4. Where are they on the motor and how hard are they to change?

They are attached to the intake manifold. They are very easy to change and Boyeson has good instructions as how to get the job done. To make the job easier, surface the reed blocks when you get them out and stripped. Just make sure the motor doesnt "spit" at idle and they will last a very long time.<br /><br />Good luck!
