Went out to plow the drive with the ATV, we had a major dump over 3 feet of nice rocky mtn powder! Low and behold, went to put the bike in reverse and the darn shift handle breaks off in my hand!

Geeze!

this is why I won't live in MT it gets cold enough to make metal brittle. LOL

sorry to hear about the luck, hopefully not too hard to fix. although I hope you have a heated garage to do it in.

That is a pain in the u know what, espessially after the problem's you had trying to fix the engagment.

Here is a little secret, well maybe not but it has worked great for us, buy an older ditch witch, say an R-40 size and remove the trencher/cable plow attachment.

It has a great blade for pushing snow 6 way (you would want to add a 1 foot curl to the top) it is 4 wheel drive all locker diffs
Pick up some truck chains at the wrecker and it will go through anything.
It has live hydrolics for any application IE wood splitter, backhoe.
And they are fairly CHEAP, these make great little tractors.

Well was able to pick a new shift lever up for about $15.00 will be here in a couple of days, fortunately, I have really nice neighbors and we have to keep the road open as well, no county plowing where I live, so he came down with his D-6 cat and blasted everything out of the way in the driveway as well as the road for another quarter of a mile!

Weeeeell Plan B didn't work so bad!! I'm still jealous though, all I have plowed with my atv is two or three 4" wimpy snows so far...kinda feel stupid having the snowcat in the back!
