Well, I did it now. I bought a 91 Bayliner 2050 yesterday. The boat itself is very solid and sharp looking. Interior is in above average condition for a boat this old, and there is no evidence of rot anywhere. The 3.0 needs a little attention, it runs but is running rough. The trailer is where the most attention needs to be spent. All bolts for the axle and bunks are rusted out, but the frame has absolutly no rust at all. Got it for 2 grand. I hope I came out OK. I spent hours inspecting this boat thanks to all the tips and advice received on this forum. Its a good boat, just some minor items before it is ready for the water. I left my camara in the office, but I will post some pics later.

Congratulations on the new boat.

I would tend to that trailer asap and depending on where you are in the world I would just replace the bolts with new ones....

I can't believe you forgot your camera ;)

Sounds pretty good to me....good luck with it. I'm sure you'll get the motor issue worked out.....And as far as that trailer, like Bob said, just measure and counmt up all the ubolts and stuff and order new...get yourself a 4" angle grinder and go to it....will be alot easier too if you get the boat off it if you can.
