Bought Prop, Need Help !

Hello to all. I own a 1996 Johnson 88 SPL and during de-winterization I hit a rock in the river I was on. Took a nice chunk out of the prop. No big deal, I went to the pc, looked up Iboats, and ordered my prop. It is a 13 spline, V-4 motor. The prop is 13.25 in diameter and 17 in Pitch. The original prop was a Michigan Wheel. The prop I bought from Iboats is a Solas. Guess what, it doesnt work. It did not come with any hardware, but when installed on the shaft, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the splined shaft sticks out. You cant tighten the nut. I called customer service, and they confirmed that this is the correct prop. Any ideas or do I return it and buy a Michigan Wheel prop. Thanks for any help. Dave

It didn't include a new thrust washer?

It sounds like the washer wont help, his Shaft is protruding from the prop hub. Measure the hubs see if they are the same. Also look up your Solas p/n at a different place and see what it says.
