I take it the last 2 pictures are scraps, if so is it just the paint missing or are the scraps deeper?

asking what its worth after buying it is like putting a screen protector on a broken phone screen........ its kind of late by then.

assuming no rot and perfectly sound stringers, transom and floor, how much did you pay for the $1500 boat.

In my area, a closed bow (almost zero market for them here), 1980's engine, equally vintage boat, needs larger than average lake boat storage further limiting buyers, upholstery needs redone (your time is worth something), in an era when credit for a new boat is as easy as being employed, my take is $500 for the package.

Yeah, about that. Rotted out looking trailer brings the value way down

I am constantly amazed how little boats sell for down south.
Up here in western Canada that thing would $5500+ all day long.

Also from Western Canada, I don't know about 5500, but I could see people asking 3500 all day here. The big difference in see is we pay more than twice what you guys pay for fuel!

I'm also waiting to hear what you paid...

I realize your from Saskatchewan But your price is way high, I'm in Alberta and just picked up a 1989 Bayliner 21' with every thing working for $1900.00

There was a recent thread on here where the floor was absolutely solid........

The seller had slapped on new plywood over a completely rotten boat. How well did you inspect?

$1500 would be ok, up to maybe $4000 but really hard to say without getting hands on or a lot more info from you. Ruuning motor worth $900, trailer $800, and not sure how much to scrap the hull. That would be if you bought a pile of crap.

If you didnt, enjoy

In Illinois--$1500,if the wood is solid. I consider old 'glass boats in rough shape like this one to be worth whatever the motor and trailer is worth. Asking price around here though, would be $2500-$3000.Everybody thinks their boat is the best, and overprice them.
Also, looks to me like the paint is coming off due to flexing of the fiberglass-not a good sign.

this is an interesting topic, im new to the board after years of not messing with them. just picked up a bayliner capri 1750 for $1300 with a nice shoreland'r trailer. it needs a bunch of work, but figured it was in my price range and ran so it wasnt too bad. she started at 2500 on CL with it, 2k on facebook when she stated it was for sale on my wanted ad, and said she would take 1500 before i looked at it. i wasnt going to give her 1500 for a boat that needs a whole interior and some engine tlc thats only worth 2700-3k on a good day in great shape.

the cl ads in WI are all the same, sky high prices on old old OLD boats.
