Hi frfly (are you a browncoat?). I live on the Gulf Coast and you'll hear lots of opinions on paints, but the general consensus is that you get what you pay for. I'd say Interlux is probably the most popular brand, but there are countless others and like all paint jobs, the prep and application are key and they're not cheap. The good stuff can be about $180 a gallon. I see you're going to be in the Bradenton/Sarasota area, I'd try to ask around the next time your in town to see if there's a brand the locals suggest. If you keep your boat in the water year round don't be surprised if you have to paint the bottom every couple years either even if you do use the good stuff :/

Contact an Interlux dealer or the company. Great products and have survived the test of time in marine coatings. They ought to know what's best for YOUR particular environment.
