I bought a boat last year that had no bottom paint and trailered it last season. Used it on the Delaware River (around Philly) and was toying with getting a slip this year.

What would be a good bottom paint for this type of water (fiberglass hull)? Is it possible to leave off the paint, use a good wax and take it out every 4 weeks or so? Prefer not to paint if push come to shove.

94' Wellcraft Eclipse

Thanks...

Re: Bottom paint for Delaware River

i'm in the same boat, just down here in the chesapeake. i've heard the waxes don't work, and think you'll have to paint. i'm looking at a new product by dolphinite that is clear bottom paint. you can check it out on their website. as for others, there seem to be a million types of paint out there. good luck-
