It could work O.K. if it's wide enough in the back to install a poling platform, but then you don't absolutely have to have one. An outboard with a jet drive would be very good for that rig also. Good Luck!

Sure can....I've fished everywhere to the flats to offshore in one. I've been in small creeks off the river. Her name was Sasto. We were fishing about 6 miles offshore in 3 to 4footers during a sailfish tournament. We had a nice one hooked up and a big sportfish captain that knew me commented to another captain via VHF "that guy is sicker than most to be out here". The name Sasto has stuck with that boat thru 2 other proud owners. I'm getting one for our boy as his 15th birthday present.

My first real boat........I could go on and on...
