Born on the 4th of July

Every morning when I log in the first thing I do is check the listing of (known) birthday members. When I recognize active members I will post a greeting (unless Bob_VT has beaten me to it). Sometimes I miss. We have over 375,000 registered members, so the chances that someone born on this day will ever see a greeting are really poor unless they are regularly active.

But today is different. It is our nation's birthday and there are 21 registered members who are known to have been born on this date.


My best wishes for a great day to all 21, and the several hundred others who didn't put their birth date in their profiles.

My grandfather was born July 4, 1916. When I was a young kid he told me all the hoopla and fireworks where for his birthday. I beleived him for quite sometime.

Heck, Mr's QC was born on the 6th, and she claims the Fireworks are for her. I guess I have to burst her bubble . . . :facepalm:

I appreciate that the moderators on this site go to the trouble of doing it. How many other internet forums do you know of that will do that?
