Re: Bombardier injection oil

As far as I know the Bombardier injection oil should be superior to the TCW3 oil and mixed at 50:1 should be fine.Interesting question.I look forward to others comments.

Re: Bombardier injection oil

If you mean the injector oil for personal water craft - DO NOT USE IT IN AN OUTBOARD !!!!!!!

It contains metallic elements that are needed for the short duty cycles on a high revving engine, that could cause pre-ignition in an outboard under certain situations.

Use only a TC-W3 oil, preferably an outboard manufacture's brand.

Re: Bombardier injection oil

Oil for direct injection engines, like the Bombardier, "Ficht" and the Optimax, meets very different specs than TC-W3 oil.

It should not be used in premix, VRO or other oil burning engines that flow fuel through the crankcase. Neither should Chainsaw oil or other oil designated for high-revving, high temp engines.

For premix or EFI engines that inject oil into the fuel use only TC-W3 oils.

Good luck. :)

Re: Bombardier injection oil

I must have confused Bombardier injection oil to be a similar blend as SHIPMATETM Outboard Two-Cycle Injector Oil (TC-W3®) I stand corrected.
SHIPMATETM Outboard Two-Cycle Injector Oil is a blend of carefully selected base oils and ashless detergent additives developed specifically to meet and exceed the NMMA/BIA Designations TC-W3®. Our, state-of-the-art, ashless additive package is specially designed to reduce the growing problems of outboard two-cycle engine deposits which cause piston ring sticking and piston varnish, piston scuffing, bearing wear, exhaust port carbon deposits, plug fouling, pre-ignition, and rusting. The addition of polyisobutylene (PIB) in our SHIPMATETM blend reduces: smoke, high temperature piston scuffing, and exhaust system deposits.

Specially formulated to protect all 2-cycle outboards from the adverse affects of common, low grade "pipeline" gasolines. The continued use of these low quality fuels can add to the build up of piston deposits which interfere with the free ring and piston movement in each cylinder, increasing ring wear and degradation which eventually cause catastrophic engine failure.

SHIPMATETM Outboard Two-Cycle Injector Oil is recommended for high output outboard two-cycle engines requiring oils 40:1, 50:1 or 100:1 gasoline to oil mixtures; and/or where NMMA/BIA Certified Oils for TC-W, TC-WII or TC-W3 service are required. See Tech Tips - Outboard Engines Fuel:Oil Ratio - Mixing Recommendations Guide. May also be used as a premix or injector fluid in lower horsepower outboard motors and other small two-cycle engines, at manufacturers recommended gasoline to oil mixtures of less than 50:1 (i.e. 16:1, 24:1, 32:1, 40:1 See Tech Tips Fuel:Oil Ratio Mixing Guide), following owners manual instructions.

SHIPMATETM Outboard Two-Cycle Injector Oil also has application in certain two-cycle motorcycles, snowmobiles, chain saws, lawn care equipment, and other air-cooled two-cycle engines, in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. See Tech Tips - 2-Cycle Engine Lubricants - Background & History

SHIPMATETM Outboard Two-Cycle Injector Oil is pre-diluted for easier mixing, even during severe winter conditions. Proper base oil viscosity makes this oil suitable for pre-mixed fuel whenever the manufacturer recommends either SAE 30 or SAE 40 lubricant. SHIPMATETM Outboard Two-Cycle Injector Oil passes all misciblity and mixing tests, and is fully approved by the National Marine Manufacturers Association as a premium quality product Certified for TC-W3® Service. Certification Number R-15020.

Container Sizes: 55 Gallon RSD, 30 Gallon RSD, 5 Gallon Pail, 2-10 Quart CASE, 6-1 Gallon CASE, 12-1 Quart CASE, 24-1 Pint CASE.
