BOATMOTOR IDENTITY

I have a evinrude lark 3,I know that much because it is written on the side but what I don't know is where to look for the seial numbers or model numbers so I can identify what horsepower it is, and what year it is. I'm new at this its my first boat that I bought cheap that was abandand and sold to me.

An Evinrude Lark III is a 1961 40 hp model. <br /><br />The model and serial # should be on the top of the swivel plate, just above the tilt release lever.

you were exactly right it was kind of hard to find cause it had been painted. thank you

I wanted to post the numbers just to be sure that your right they ahe model#35525 and serial#06646 and does anyone know roughly how much this motor is worth.
