Boating the Lower Patuxent River Near Broomes Island

Anyone on here boating in this area? I am a newbie there and looking for info on the best places to go, dock and eat, anchor overnight, etc. My boat is in a marina near Sandgates/Queen Tree Landing on the South shore, across from Broome's Island on the North shore.
