so is anyone else getting a flag saying not to visit this site?
i wanted to post a link to a mercruiser sb that is (maybe) still available online to help someone out here on iboats. what i got was a generic looking page that says this sites gonna damage my computer if i open the link to boatfix.

so will this change? back to a respectable site. is it really gonna damage my computer if i open it? i like to help folks out using links to facts, which boatfix had some of. i'm disappointed.. at this point, i'm not opening the link. :(

No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days.

How did this happen?

In some cases, third parties can add malicious code to legitimate sites, which would cause us to show the warning message.

no it doesn't. hope that changes. i thought it odd that a boat site would have this danger sign. a porn site yes, but a boat site? good grief, what's the world coming to..

Google is the only search provider with any sort of a warning about the site. Used Bing. No warning and no problems getting into or out of the boatfix website.

I get that warning also, when using Google Chrome, but it opens and works normal with internet Explorer.
My Norton AV didn't get excited when I opened anything either.

I sent Les an email with the Google message to let him know, he will find the problem and fix it. They would not have malicious malware on their site, that is a parts store and how they make their money.

Just got an email from Les, boatfix.com is fixed, it should be clear with Google also, I tried from a different computer with firefox and it works ok now. I had to use a different computer since mine won't let go of the warning.

I have bought from that site many times over the years. Spend time researching products there. No problems. Although I have to admit that getting a user id on their forums was imposable for me. I talked to Les Hall (owner/moderator) many times via emails about why my application for a user id is not being processed, but they never approved my ID. Heard the same from many other people posting the same complaint on a popular Bayliner forum. Oh well, no skin off my nose.

I see they are a pay-only forum now. No more free memberships.
