Re: BoatCar

That is cool. If everyone in NO had one, everyone would have got out! But whats the price tag?

I did see a special on the news awhile back on that one. At least it will cruise pretty decent.

The Aquada. Sir Richard took Matt Lauer out on his for last year's "Where in the World is Matt Lauer". Must be nice to afford such toys. :)

I don't have the link anymore, but there is also an RV that doubles as a houseboat. When I win the lottery, I'll be pulling an Aquada around behind one of those. ;)

Re: BoatCar

I remember the RV/houseboat, WBW. It was called the SeaCamper and came in both I/O and outboard configurations. Had wheels that cranked up into spaces in the side of the hull.

I looked at a couple in Ft. Lauderdale in the early 80s. They didn't handle salt very well and were offered for practically salvage prices . . .the wheel mechanisms were corroded and frozen.

I wonder how they fared in fresh water environments.

I thought this one had a chance. I actually went aboard one at a boatshow years ago.

http://boaterhome.org/index.html
