Boat Wouldnt

Recently got a new starter put on boat. Battery is 2 years old. Boat started up just fine Saturday. Wife and I boat all day Saturday, no issues. Turn battery off when done. Come back out Sunday morning, turn battery on, boat won’t turn over. When I turn key to aux position, all gauges turn on, battery has 12+ volts, Blower works, etc, I can hear what I’m assuming is the fuel pump turn on, but when I turn the key to start, it doesn’t even turn over to start. No clicking sound, nothing. Hook up to booster pack just in case and try to start and again nothing. Leave the boat there as it is (didn’t even turn battery switch back off) and come back 3 hours later and figured what the heck, I’ll try it again. Turn key and it fires right up!? This is the second incident like this. Is it maybe a loose wire? Bad ignition switch? Solenoid? Help please.

Also to clarify - I checked to make sure the shifter was disengaged and In neutral and that the safety switch was disengaged as well. I will note that when I tried to start it up on Sunday morning, I ran the blower first. I did not run the blower on Saturday before it fired right up and I did not run the blower Sunday afternoon after I let it sit and it started right up. Making this a little more confusing.

Still thinking Neutral safety switch
Turn key to start and hold, now grab the throttle and move it slightly FWD and REV to see if it cranks

If it doesn't then put a volt meter on the small yellow/red wire on the start assist relay. Turn key to start and see if there is 12V on the wire

Good advice above. What are you using that you measured 12 v? I'd connect a digital voltmeter to the battery to measure the voltage while cranking the motor depending on what you find then move meter to starter and repeat.
