I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right area. Sorry if it is wrong. So I bought a 2003 Stingray 200lx, test drove it, everything worked great. I did see a battery jumper on the swim platform when it was in the garage. Went to drop it in the lake today and it wouldn't start. After a couple trys the battery started loosing power. It is fuel injected volvo 4.3. I took the battery and got it tested and they said it was a bad battery and I haven't had the time to go try it out. Do you all think this could be the case. The voltage meter read 10 - 12 on the gauges. This is my first boat and was pretty excited about taking it out and then this happened.

A voltmeter doesn't read 10 - 12, it reads 10 or 12. 10 is stone dead, 12 is partially discharged. If you had the battery load tested and they said it's bad, then yes it's bad. EFI engines need full power to power the fuel pump(s) and the electronics. When you hit the key the starter pulls the battery down even more so it doesn't start.
