I have a 1988 High Tide SuperV 14 with a 1988 Johnson 28hp spl, I'm unable to find much information on the net about this particular boat, anyone have any experience or info with high tide boats? I'm looking for an idea of how much this setup roughly weighs.

Thanks!

You're probably going to have to tow the rig to a scale to get the weight. Just a tip, guys here love pics and you'll always draw more attention if you have an uncommon boat to show us. :D

I would take it and weigh it. You'll know what you have versus what the manufacturer says is the boats dry weight ( They do not account for fuel or gear ), and you will be able to track if things start to seem heavy later on. That can mean wet foam or water below deck on some boats.

Now that's a spiffy layout and I like the remote steering setup. Sorry I don't know a thing about the boat make. Pull into some truck scales and drop the trailer on the pad. I know it won't help to know what it's supposed to weigh but if you're thinking she's too heavy then at least you know what she is now.

Thanks, reason being is I was looking into the harbor freight boat trailer due to title issue, it's rated up to 600 pounds. I don't believe the boat is heavier than it should be as I'm gaugeing the draft with the blue bottom paint, not sure if that's a common or correct practice but I'm assuming that should be the water line.

You may be surprised on the weight of your rig and gear. I'm willing to bet more than 600#

rating includes all weight you will put into it, plus the trailer itself

I'm a huge fan of harbor freight, but I'm not sure I'd use a trailer from them. If you check boat trader and tradin post, I think you can find a better trailer than the harbor freight one in the same price range.
