Here's one for you guys to ponder...<br /><br />Q: What 5 states lead the nation in damage claims related to cold weather?<br /><br />I'll post the answer after you have time to guess. If you read the same magazine I did, don't give it away for the rest.

matttt, just guessing, but I would say the "warmer" western states that get the occasional freezing weather. Unlike here in the mid-west, you know you have to winterize. Out there, they don't winterize and get caught by a freeze. Am I warm?

With the way everyone goes berserk around here when the temperature is going below 32, I'd guess the deep south states with Florida probably being No.1. We just went through all this when the temperature dropped to 19. You'd have thought we were suddenly all going to be transported to Anartica. None of us, of course, knew much about preparing for it.

I'm going with Jack Shellac... Florida's got to be #1 (at least on the list), Arizona #2 maybe, Georgia, California, Texas... I think I read this quite some time ago, but can't remember....

My vote would be florida and other citrus producing states also. My parents live in Arkansas and they said it pretty much shuts the whole state down when they get ice and snow.
