Hey Folks:

Looks like I am moving again, I need help. I am looking for a company to move my boat this is on a trailer from Fort Worth, Texas to Oak Harbor, Wa. I dont want it towed, I would like to have the whole thing transported. Can anyone give me an idea of what this will cost, and the name/names of any reputable companies that can help me out with this??

Thanks
Tallman

Man, I have a friend that lives on Whidbey . . . What a beautiful place!!! Great for boating too.

I had a car shipped from NJ to here for around a grand, my guess is that your boat will be at least double that, probably a lot more (Oak Harbor is not exactly easy to get a Class 8 truck to either). I would look around for anybody local with a linehaul type flatbed. If you gave them a nice big window of time I'd bet they would give you a decent deal. Also, you could back the trailer right onto a flat on a decent loading dock with a leveler. IMHO, you don't need/want a specialist boat hauler if you are going to ship with the trailer although there might be a builder near you that ships boats with trailers all over the place . . .

I'd call Holt CAT (972)721-5800 (engine division in Irving) and find out who they use for hauling engines and stuff. Those guys are always looking for things to fill out a load, but you're going to hog up a big chunk of trailer . . .

Anybody have an idea how much a tow (A company) from South Jersey to North Jersey will cost??? 19 Foot Cuddy on a trailer.
I made a post earlier, the chance to make a couple of bucks is still on the table if you would do the honor and tow it with your rig. This is a legit offer. I have a boat (Title and Registration) and a Trailer (Title and Registration). I know it's a little weird meeting somebody from iboats and spending a few hours together. If you have the rig and the time - The offer is there...
