Boat trailer roller set up...

So lately I've been having an issue with the boat not quite lining up with the stop on the winch post. As I wind it in it creeps over to the starboard side of the trailer to the point that I have to force it back in line. I'm assuming the problem is with the rollers. I snapped a bunch of pics of the rollers position when the boat is loaded so I'd like your honest opinions on the alignment and condition of everything.

FYI the forward set of rollers on the rear port bunk is slightly bent so I'm assuming this is what is causing the boat to not sit right.

As you can see in the pics the strakes are riding up on the rollers... should I worry about this?

Opinions please.

Can’t say what’s causing the alignment problem, but you differently need some work.

The strakes should not be sitting on rollers.

You need to fix the roller(s) problem then have the trailer adjusted/aligned to the boat.

Total mismatch and poor adjustment. The strakes need to be aligned between the rollers. If they are, the boat will self-load.

That is an EZLoader adjustable trailer. There is a wide variety of Adjustments to the rollers and the cradles that can be done. You can move the entire roller section assemblies inward/outward, then reposition the outer rollers so they are not on the strakes. You can also raise or lower them.
Whoever set that trailer up for that boat didn't do a very good job, if that trailer was sold with that boat

Bought the boat and trailer early last year and rebuilt the braking system last winter, along with a bunch of boat related issues and maintenance so this trailer bunk thing is next on the list. Thanks for everyone's input btw! 👍

Got the suspect bunk out today. I have a bit of work ahead of me by the looks of it...

As I said. I'm sure it is an EZLoader. Contact them, they would likely have the parts you need. And might have a guide book on how to set it up. Having the trailers Serial # will help know exactly how it was built

Agreed the double style roller bunks give good support because each one has 8 rollers but due to their size (width) they must be adjusted to miss the strakes or else when the rollers hit the strakes it will steer the boat one way or the other, it will not go straight. On mine I have those on the rear roller bars but the fronts have just single rollers which are easier to line up. I've found that 24 rollers is enough for the weight of my 20' boat. You might have more due to the fact that it's an aluminum boat needs the weight spread out more than a 'glass boat Just spend some time getting them to miss the strakes and you should have a better outcome.

She's fibreglass btw, but I understand the comments. Very helpful people thanks. I'll get them serviced and realigned and go from there.

I got the rear bunks adjusted and I'm on to the the front set when time permits. Got called into work on my days off so I'll get to it when I can :)

Wow, I last updated this in September! Anyway, I launched the boat on Sunday for the 1st time since last year, and the adjustments made (following everyone's advice) really made the difference. She lined up perfect and it seemed to take a lot less effort to winch it on to the bow post. Thanks people!
