I'm looking into buying my first boat and I want to get an idea of what the extra costs are going to be. I've done some research but I want to know how much anyone has paid to keep their boat on Boston's north shore. I'm looking at 21-24' fishing boats so does anyone have a general idea what it would cost for 1) a slip, 2) a mooring, 3) keeping it in a boat yard and using a ramp launch? I've seen rates online but those only seem to be at the huge marinas (and therefore huge rates). Thanks.

I think you're going to find a big variation in costs depending on the actual location you want to store it. For instance, it's cheaper to store a short distance down the Merrimac than it is at say, Plum Island. Also, alot of people refer to the North Shore as anything north of Boston. Can you be a bit more specific about where you'd prefer to launch?

BTW- prepare yourself for a shock. It's not just the huge marinas that charge alot.

I was trying to be as general as possible when I said the north shore. Anywhere from Winthrop to New Hampshire is fine with me.
