boat sank

Hi any help would be great my boat sank last year and i have not started it since then the motor turns over fine but it just wont start. i opened up the distributer and there was rust build up but its all cleaned up now and im still not getting spark the motor is a mercury 1974 50 h.p

You probably have a large paperweight now. Submerged motors need immediate care after recovery or they are basket cases (internal parts like bearings, crankshaft, etc. start rusting as soon as the motor begins to dry. You may get very lucky, but unlikely.
