Boat runs and quits....repeat

96 Mercruiser 4.3v6 alpha one. Boat cranks fine, runs for about a minute then quits. Will crank right back up, and do the same....as many times as you want to crank it. Does this when engine is cold or hot, throttled or idled or in gear or in nuetral. Boat ran fine when I winterized it and stored it last season. Started this on first outing this season.

Sounds like the fuel pump may not be getting power through the oil pressure switch after the engine starts. When cranking the fuel pump gets power through a bypass circuit and probably gets enough just enough fuel in to last just a bit. You can jumper the 2 switch terminals and see if it stays running. If so you need to replace the oil pressure switch.

Is your fuel tank vent opened? Because that is exactly what happens when you don't have your fuel tank vent open or it is plugged. IDK
