There's room, but it looks tight. I e-mailed the promoter and they WILL NOT be allowing spectator boats in the area. I really hope there is a good turnout so we can get more of these events.

We used to go to the races on Lake Washington, tie up the boat to the log boom set up for that purpose that formed a semicircle around the course, and, of course, partake of the occasional adult beverage, and enjoy the races. I used to really enjoy the old Rolls Merlin WW II fighter plane engines- the sound was unmistakeable.<br /><br />The new turbines with their helicopter engines are fast, of course, but somehow are not the same.<br /><br />But I was there, and witnessed the only peacetime sinking of a coast guard cutter, as Bill Muncey lost a rudder and slammed into cutter and sent them both to the bottom of the lake.
