My son just acquired a 1994 FISHER 240 Freedom DLX that is in pretty good shape. He was wondering if there is some place to get an owners manual as there are several switches etc that he does not know the origin. Short of tracing back every wire, he would like to either purchase a booklet or download one showing a wiring schematic etc. Thanks for any help.

Re: Boat Owners Manual

no such thing, boats aren't like cars and they just don't make owners manuals for them.

The average car has a production run of 300,000-500,000 where the y might have made 200-300 of your boat so nit enough models to spread the cost of an owners manual.

I would get up a pic of the dash and maybe another member can clue you in to what the switches do.

Boat wiring on a pontoon that size is generally very simple. With a basic understanding how wires run and what accessories that you have should be pretty simple. Pontoons are the easiest boat to wire in my opinion.

It's not a Jaguar. There arent THAT many wires, and they only go to a few places, which are fairly easy to see, if you just take your time. The hardest part of my boat is crawling into the cotton-picking console. Grrr...
