We have found a seasonal rental on a nearby 300 acre man made lake with boat size restrictions of 18 feet max and 90 hp max. We are shopping for our first boat and plan to buy new or lightly used. We only intend it to be used on recreational freshwater lakes and primarily for waterskiing / tubing / wakeboarding. My preference is a bowrider but will consider all recommendations. I prefer durability / quality but still want the best bang for the buck. Can this restriced size still allow me to have four people in the boat plus a skiier?

yes that restriction won't hurt your boating. i haven't pulled a skier but i bet if you have a 16-18' boat with a 90 hp it will do it. one piece of advise get a boat that is at the restricition. get a 18' ski boat with a 90 hp. even though most good ski boats are inboards but you can get one with an outboard.

I have an 18 foot bowrider w/ a 90hp and have pulled skiers, my buddy has wakeboarded behind it and of course tubing.

What is the length of the 300 acre lake? Is is all deep enough for skiing?

Average depth is 9 feet - maximum depth is 15 feet.

Any specific recommendations on brand / model / must have features ? I looked at a new Larson lx620 with a 90hp evinrude, mercury or Yamaha motor. 16' - 850lb or 6 people capacity About $20 with abunch of installe options plus galvanised trailer.
