boat/motor combo

good day all. how does this sound, 1980 starcraft 14ft deep v with 1984 evinrude 25hp. does it sound overpowered. i just purchased it and was wondering if it might be unsafe.im going to use it for some fishing on an inland lakes.<br /><br />thanks Z

doesn't sound like it to me. sounds like it maybe maxed out though. my dad had one with a 20 hp on it ran great!!!!

For what you're going to use it for, it sounds like a "just right" rig to me.

I had a 14' starcraft with a 15hp mariner and that ran fine maybe a little under power (but not much with wife and kid) 25 should do fine.
