boat - motor combination

I have a 50hp Force - very well running - on a Mirrocraft Aggressor deep V. My boat is underpowered. I have a chance to buy a Fisher Marsh Hawk, 1997 model, with a 97, Mariner 60hp motor. My question - Would the Marsh Hawk, being shallower and flatter bottomed, perform better with the 50 than the Aggressor? I know the Aggressor would like the 60.<br />Thanks

The Force HP is rated at the powerhead. The Mariner HP is rated at the prop. You lose about 5-10 hp between the powerhead and prop. So there's a bigger difference than you think between the Force and the Mariner. Does that help?
